I don't believe it could be done safely, without maybe forcing a full
sync each time with both and also avoiding all the bugs in the Palm
'DM patch' which would manage the internal sync between the AddressDB
view and the real ContactsDB database.

Rather - I don't believe _I_ could do it safely :-)

Plus; what is the gain? If you use a modern Palm, why would you want
AddressDB? Unless you mean just to avoid the user having to configure
jpilot(-sync) for one or the other?
